Arianespace

Since the 1980’s, MN and the companies from which it derives, has been shipping Ariane launcher components between Europe and French Guiana.

In order to provide these services, the RoLo Ariana, then the MN Toucan and MN Colibri, have been designed and built by MN in close cooperation with Arianespace. Today, these services are provided by the Ro-Ros MN Toucan (built in 1995) and MN Colibri (built in 2000), owned by MN, which also operates them (manning, technical support, insurance, safety, security etc.). MN also manages the vessels’ commercial operations on behalf of Arianespace.

French ministry of defence
   

Operation of the French-flagged Ro-Ros MN Eider, MN Eclipse and MN Pelican, as part of time charter contracts, for the supply of French bases (Indian Ocean, West African coast, French Antilles, French Guiana, Polynesia and Pacific Ocean) and individual deployments in operational theatres.

MN and the CNN group have been involved in this type of transports since the 1980’s. The MN Eider, MN Eclipse and MN Pelican are owned by MN, which operates them itself (manning, technical support, insurance, safety, security etc.).

 
MN manages the ships’ commercial operations on behalf of the French ministry of defence.

Operates the Langevin under long-term charter contracts.

The chartering of this ship has been renewed several times since it was first chartered in 1990. The contract was renewed on the 1st of January 2007.

 
The Belem foundation
   



Management of the 3-masted bark Belem (historical vessel built in 1896) on behalf of the Belem foundation (Caisses d’Epargne group).

This service covers the management of seagoing personnel, technical management and the management of the vessel’s safety and security.

 
DGA / SPN / FRENCH NAVY
   

Design and construction of the ship part of the trials and measurement ship Dupuy de Lôme (MINREM), on behalf of the Compagnie Nationale de Navigation, holder of the contract for producing this system under co-contract with Thales. In addition to defining the ship’s technical specifications and monitoring its construction, MN provided its initial logistic support and operated the ship during the special equipment integration phase.

Through its subsidiary MN Services Industrie, MN has been providing the ship’s technical management since it was delivered to the French Navy.

 
Also through its wholly-owned subsidiary MN Services Industrie

MN contributes to the operational maintenance of the surveillance frigate Germinal.

Held the contract for defining maintenance plan for the Hydrographic and Oceanographic ship Beautemps-Beaupré (establishment of a maintenance and logistic support plan in order to meet the availability and reliability objectives).

The Compagnie Maritime Nantaise – MN manages a fleet of French-flagged ships to provide industrial and specialist shipping services. Its fleet consists of boats, ro-ro vessels, such as the MN Toucan and MN Colibri, which provide shipping services for Arianespace between Europe and French Guiana, and the MN Eider and MN Eclipse, which replenish French bases in the Indian Ocean and on the West coast of Africa on behalf of the French defence ministry. The Compagnie Maritime Nantaise – MN also manages the ro-ro vessel MN Pelican, the research vessel Langevin, and the 3-masted barque Belem, a vessel managed on behalf of the Belem Foundation (part of the des “Caisses d’Epargne” group).
